1. Why use hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy could help with mind related matters such as reducing habits; changing negative thoughts and how past negative experiences are understood

 

2. Can anybody be hypnotised? Generally, with suggestion therapy, most people can be hypnotized. There are exceptions, such as people that are very young and; those with psychosis, senility. Extra care should be taken with applying analytical and regression therapy in certain circumstances and sometimes should be avoided altogether. For example, with pregnant women; people with epileptic fits; asthma or heart attack/stroke survivors

 

3. Is hypnotherapy similar to stage hypnotism? Unlike stage hypnotism, hypnotherapy is not for entertainment. Hypnotherapy is strictly for providing a professional and caring service for mind related matters by a practitioner that works in union with a code of ethics as declared by a professional association. The hypnotherapist undertakes supervision and continues professional development

 

4. How many sessions will I have? In therapy, your subconscious mind sets the speed of therapy. Therefore, the number of 1:1 sessions needed vary according to person and the complexity of the goal set. Group sessions are also available.

 

5. How does hypnotherapy differ to other talk therapies? Unlike other forms of therapy, hypnotherapy works directly with the subconscious mind by bypassing the conscious mind using hypnosis

 

6. How does hypnosis feel like? There is not a feeling of hypnosis that could be generalised to every single person. Generally though, you could feel a release of tension in your body and a heightened awareness in your mind, which is a useful state for exploring thoughts that need reprogramming or emotions that need releasing. Hypnosis

 

7. What is hypnotherapy? It is the therapy you receive when using hypnosis. It is a drug free and natural process of self-development. In hypnotherapy you are guided to explore thoughts, memories and emotions stored in your subconscious mind, to complete any unfinished business and help you move forward in a positive new direction.
